Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, better known in the media as Ashanti was born October 13 1979 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an actress and a singer of the United States. Ashanti started her career as a teenager, and was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. In the same year, she made an appearance in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song as well as Ja Rule's Always On Time track, both of which were huge hits.
